Ben correct right down the line. Equally, considering whole of life PV and Turbines, they are both ecologically and economically negative. Regardless of what politicians and their salesmen may tell us, they consume more energy over their life cycle than they produce. Their manufacture, installation and removal generates more deleterious green house gas than they save. Yes our CO2 is not diminishing even with our greater renewables. Who would have thought.

Yes, Ben, you were spot on then, and even more to the point now. The ominous signs of electricity network weakness and fragility are becoming more pronounced, as ever more unreliable and intermittent renewables generation is forced upon the system. It’s clear that things will become much worse, long before people agree to recognise the truth of this mythical delusion called ‘Net Zero’. It really only refers to a consequence of net zero electricity.
